Discipleship
We have a number of ministries to disciple one another in Christ. This means that as God reveals himself to us through the Scripture, His Holy Spirit empowers us to live in a manner worthy of the calling we have received!
Worship- We worship together on Sundays at 10am. Our time together focuses on worshipping our glorious God, through Biblically rich songs of worship, and taking His Word to heart, through expository, verse-by-verse preaching of God's Word.
Sunday School- We are thankful to support parents in their calling to raise their children up in the Lord. Our children are part of our service, and are dismissed to Sunday School just before the sermon (ages 5-11). It is our prayer that as we bring the little children to Christ, God will convert their hearts to respond to Him in faith.
Quiet Room- We are happy to have children in our service, even if they make a little noise. But, if you prefer, a quiet room is available for nursing moms and parents with little ones. It is located just outside the North doors of the sanctuary. It is equipped with audio so you can hear the sermon, and a window viewing into the sanctuary.
Small Group Bible Studies- We have a number of small group Bible studies which meet on various days in people's homes both in town and out of town. Here we have fellowship and grow in Christ as we study His Word and build one another up in Christ.
"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." -1 Thessalonians 5:11
Youth Group- (Age 12-17) Youth Group meets Monday from 7-8:30 pm at the church. We have a discipleship focus, helping our youth know and understand the Word of God, giving them tools to study it themselves, understanding foundational theology, including a proper God-centered Gospel, a high view of God, and His Word, so that they may know the God of Scripture.
Men's Breakfast- We often have a men's breakfast at the church on the last Saturday of the month at 8:00 am. We usually spend some significant time reading through Scripture, covering a few chapters at a time, seeing God's revelation from the grand context of Scripture.
Women's Ministry- Our mission is to glorify God through Biblical teaching, Christ-centered fellowship, worship, and prayer, as we encourage each other to serve Jesus with surrendered hearts. We meet for brunch at 10am on the first Saturday of each month, as well as in home group Bible studies, and retreats.
Library- We have a wonderful church library. You are more than welcome to come and borrow from a variety of resources to help you grow in your faith journey with God.
Missions- We have traditionally heavily supported missions financially. We have also had the opportunity to embark ourselves on a number of short term missions trips. We are seeking to support missionaries who are actively preaching the gospel, and discipling those whom our God saves. We are personally involved with a mission in Honduras called Adventure in Mission, and fully support one of their nursing staff at the clinic there.
Elders- We have a number of elders who are called to "Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, watching over them-not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock." -1 Peter 5:2-3
It is our hope that before God, under His high accountability, our elders will serve you well in this way, always leading you to Christ, the Great Shepherd of the sheep.
